With her signature warmth, soul, and lyrical clarity, singer-songwriter Olivia Dean unveils 'Lady Lady', a refreshing new single that marks the second offering from her forthcoming album The Art of Loving, arriving on September 26th.

Tender yet empowering, 'Lady Lady' is a peaceful pondering on womanhood, surrender, and evolution. “It’s about the feeling of having to change just as you’re getting used to a version of yourself,” Olivia explains. “This song reminds me of the power we hold as women – I think it feels like peace.”

Directed by long-time collaborator Jake Erland, the accompanying visual is a masterclass in movement and emotion. Shot with an earnest elegance that makes for irrefutably intimate imagery, it stars renowned ballerina and Royal Ballet principal Francesca Hayward, who dances alongside Olivia and a young Black, all-female ensemble in a performance that honours the quiet strength woven into the track’s core.

The single follows the chart-topping, festival-favourite Nice To Each Other, Olivia’s first release from the new album and another Erland-directed video celebrated for its one-take magic. Together, they signal a confident new chapter for an artist already hailed as one of British music’s brightest lights.

Offstage, it’s already been a transformative year for Olivia. Having opened for Sam Fender, joining him on stage at a sold-out London Stadium to debut their new collaboration Rein Me In, and more recently, joining pop starlet Sabrina Carpenter at BST Hyde Park, it’s undoubtedly been a busy summer.

Now, ahead of a sold-out tour across the US and Canada, and The Art of Loving on the horizon, Olivia Dean is ready to take listeners deeper. Exploring love in all its forms – romantic, platonic, self – this next body of work feels like a letter to growth, wrapped in soulful storytelling and sonic grace.

Lady Lady is out now on all streaming platforms, and you can watch the music video here.

The Art of Loving is also available for pre-order.
