The influence of UK garage on British fashion culture is getting its own retrospective. Titled Oh My Mosch, the new photo book by photographer Ewen Spencer and Heartless Crew's MC Bushkin looks back at one of the most distinctive periods in London's underground scene, where designer fashion, sportswear and club culture came together.

At the centre of the project is Bushkin's personal wardrobe, an extensive archive of designer pieces accumulated throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s. From Moschino and Versace to Dolce & Gabbana and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, the collection offers a glimpse into the fashion sensibilities of an era when dressing for the dancefloor was as important as the music itself. Much of it remained stored in his mother's loft in North London until Spencer began photographing the garments in 2015.

As a founding member of Heartless Crew, alongside Fonti and Mighty Moe, Bushkin was part of the generation that helped establish UK garage's sound and identity. The group's influence extended beyond music, contributing to a wider aesthetic that would eventually feed into grime and British street culture. Reebok Classics were a familiar part of that look, becoming a staple among the artists, DJs and ravers associated with the movement.

The book's release was celebrated on 29 October with an event at Kachette in Shoreditch, bringing together Reebok, Ewen Spencer and Bushkin. Rather than a conventional launch, the space was transformed into a showcase of the archive itself, with Spencer's photographs displayed alongside original designer garments, Reebok Classics and personal memorabilia. A special performance from Heartless Crew provided a fitting soundtrack to the evening, reconnecting the project with the music that inspired it.

Reebok's involvement feels particularly relevant given the brand's longstanding relationship with the scene. To mark the occasion, Bushkin's archive Classic Leather has also been recreated in premium garment leather. The limited-edition pair features an iced outsole and a personal 'MC Bushkin' detail printed underneath, with the release reserved for a select group of friends and family.

Published by Friend Editions, Oh My Mosch goes beyond a photographic documentation of one man's wardrobe. It offers a look at the intersection of British club culture and designer fashion, revisiting a period whose influence remains visible in contemporary streetwear. For Reebok, it is also a reminder of the Classics' place in a culture they helped define long before nostalgia brought the era back into focus.

Oh My Mosch is available through Ewen Spencer, Friend Editions and selected bookshops.
