Nando’s Celebrates Music Fusion with 'Mix It Up Vol. 2' EP

London, August 2nd, 2023: Nando’s, the iconic restaurant chain known for its delicious PERi-PERi chicken, has always been a strong supporter of music talent. Over the years, they have fueled emerging artists with their mouth-watering PERi-PERi dishes and collaborated with various creative platforms. Now, Nando’s pioneering ‘Mix It Up’ project has made its triumphant return for 2023, bringing together some of the spiciest music talent from the UK and South Africa to create an Extra-Hot EP that serves as the ultimate soundtrack to the summer.

The ‘Mix It Up Vol. 2’ EP is a bold fusion of musical cultures and styles. It features four fresh talents from the UK: K-Trap, Kojey Radical, Lost Girl, and Niko B, who join forces with four Amapiano producers from South Africa: MFR Souls, Mathandos, LuuDaDeejay, and Dinho, along with vocalist Makhanj. The result is a mesmerizing menu of tracks that effortlessly blend the infectious rhythms of Amapiano with the captivating lyricism of the UK Drill, RnB, Hip Hop, and Rap scenes.

The ‘Mix It Up Vol. 2’ EP is not the first of its kind. It follows the success of last year’s EP, which featured talented artists like BERWYN, Bru-C, Mira May, and M1llionz. Nando's initiated this project in partnership with Bridges For Music, a non-profit organization based in South Africa. The organization's primary goal is to empower under-served communities in South Africa through creative education and the transformative power of music.

As a celebration of Nando’s South African heritage, the 'Mix It Up' project aims to provide a platform for emerging music talent in the Bridges For Music network while highlighting the incredible sounds emerging from both the South African and UK music scenes. The collaboration also serves Nando’s broader initiative to impact lives through its strong connection and influence within the music industry in the UK and South Africa.

The 'Mix It Up Vol. 2' EP serves as a delightful reminder that life is indeed better when we mix it up – whether it's the fusion of flavors in their iconic PERi-PERi dishes or the blending of musical genres and cultures. As we groove to the rhythm of this extraordinary collaboration, let us raise a toast to Nando’s, Bridges For Music, and all the artists involved for delivering a summer soundtrack that celebrates the beauty of diversity and the magic of music.
