West London musician Maxi Millz premiered his brand new song and video for his new single ‘MDNA’ Wednesday evening, ahead of his debut project ‘Captions’, out on 26th March. Providing us with his own hybrid version of R&B, the track is produced by fellow Londoner Humble The Great. Accompanied by clean visuals, we become a fly on the wall witnessing Maxi and his love interest finding themselves in the middle of an all too familiar feud.
Since launching his music career in 2020, his sound has quickly found its own lane garnering support from the likes of Yasmin Evans, Tiffany Calver, Maya Jama and PA Salieu to name a few. Growing up he would spend a lot of time with his family in America and grew up experiencing life in London, New York and Baltimore which is now being reflected throughout his music. Each city being a melting pot for producing distinctive styles of music, they've been synonymous for birthing some of the best musicians to date, which has undoubtedly shaped his sound.
Being surrounded by a music-loving household, listening to his parents Motown, Blues, and Soul record collections, music has been second nature to Maxi, garnering him the opportunity to have a head start in his music journey at an early age. As he began to find his own way in the music world, he fell in love with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Earth Wind & Fire and Aretha Franklin, and cites them as great inspirations.
On the road to building momentum ahead of his new 8-track project ‘Captions‘, which includes his previous hit single ‘Danny Ocean’ which dropped in February, his presence has become beaming in the industry as of recent, with a unique sound that sets him apart to be in his own lane. With undeniable excitement from his supporters, and a growing fan base, we should all be on the lookout for the project that promises to be a fusion of Funk, Hip-Hop and R&B!
