Juls Shares New Single "Wicked" featuring Knucks, Sam Wise and Kadiata

As we approach the mid-summer barrage of new releases there’s one track that will no doubt be blasting from sound systems on every street corner this month – Juls’ “Wicked” featuring some of London’s finest with Sam Wise, Knucks and Kadiata.

Over British-Ghanaian producer Juls’ illustrious head-nodding and delicate instrumentals, the four London-natives invite us into a hazy party scene that feels like one of those warm summer nights you will wake up from with all but faded memories. Sam Wise introduces the track with his silken cadence, followed by Kadiata and Knucks' verses which come in like a cool breeze. Layered over Juls’ balmy production, the addictively smooth anthem is set to be a perfect addition for that summer 2021 soundtrack.

The visuals, directed by Ray Fiasco, portray the group delving into neon lit scenes of a night out in East London before entering a house party where we meet with fellow London favourites, BenjiFlow and Ragz Originale.

Speaking on the track, Juls tells us “This song is a blend of Funk Carioca, Azonto and Baile Fun, but it still has a very fresh British vibe to it whilst sounding very African at the same time. Knucks, Sam Wise and Kadiata bring the heat with their clever, witty flows. I couldn’t think of anyone else to jump on this riddim. It’s a very fun track, and hopefully, it becomes another favourite birthday song, especially for the ladies”.

“Wicked” is the first track to surface from Juls’ forthcoming debut album which is set to be released later in the year. We can also expect to hear much more from the three featuring artists in the coming months – with the announcement of the long-awaited album from Sam Wise and Pimlico artist Kadiata’s forecasted EP Lost, This Winter – it won’t be long before you can refresh those summer playlists.
