As the seasons change and summer looms above us, Flaneur’s spring/summer 2023 collection bids farewell to the dreary skies and early nights. Instead, they welcome the heat and its power to ignite self-expression, creativity and hope for the future. Rightfully titled ‘Freedom at Last’, the collection also bids farewell to the past spring/summer collection. Flaneur redefines and elevates their previous techniques and silhouettes. Each silhouette boasts bold colours and an array of patterns. This is epitomised on the beach, cyan print airbrushed on silk shorts and shirts. Navy and Grey paint stains are branded on atelier hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants and shorts. The super-wide denim is contemporary adapted from their iconic flared denim. These flared pants are also reimagined in leather, and carpenter denim - providing a bolder, more liberating look. Accompanying the cut-off carpenter denim is distressed. essential and destroyer jeans. Pops of colour are sprinkled on ecru double-breasted blazers, graphic tees, knitted hoodies, windbreakers and gilets to name a few. The standout feature of the collection is the inclusion of graffiti-inspired peace logos, which infuse an edgy, urban aesthetic while promoting a message of unity and harmony. These pieces allow Flaneur to dive headfirst into the vibrant world of print, colour, and imagery.
