Eyeconic & NE-O drop the new collaborative Grime single 'Isit'

The North East Grime scene has respectfully grown over the past few years with up and coming Newcastle-based artists Eyeconic and NE-O teaming up on their new collaborative single 'Isit'.

Produced by Thirty3, the track continues to place Eyeconic and NE-O at the forefront of the UK’s newest Grime movement. 'Isit' features a nostalgic early 2000s instrumental alongside a vibrant groove that provides the backdrop for both rappers' vocal performances. Marking the next chapter in both artist’s ever-growing discographies, Eyeconic & NE-O have also recently unveiled the official music video inspired by film director Wes Anderson the Grime duo expressed;

“When coming up with the concept we were heavily inspired by Wes Anderson and Tyler, The Creator. Both of those names are rare inspirations for grime videos as far as we’re aware. We tried to keep in mind the symmetry that is quite popular in both of their works.

Being fans of film, there were a lot of effects we’ve always wanted to try out such as the dolly zooms but never got the chance to previously. Our chemistry on video was natural and we think we conveyed really well what the track is about.

When thinking of music video ideas we flirted with traditional grime tropes such as radio sets and live show performance clips but we felt like it would be really cool to just do something that challenges our idea of grime videos”
