Elmiene Releases Double Single ‘Honour’ And ‘I Want In’

British-Sudanese songwriter and vocalist Elmiene releases a double single ‘Honour’ and ‘I Want In’ to explore the multidimensionality of love.

‘I Want In’ is built from a hip-hop percussion that provides a skippy undertone that pushes the track along, however what catches everyone’s attention is Elmiene.

Elmiene promises to be there for his love interest, dedicating himself mind, body, and soul in an uncompromising and refreshing way.

He starts the track skillfully, and he conveys his emotion as he sings: “If forever wasn’t more than a day/ and time wasn’t really a thing, and now will be my moment to tell you that I’m feeling some type of way.” The lines falling into each other as if powered by an unstoppable force, like love.

On ‘Honour’, acoustic guitar rifts and groovy synths emit a pulsating and deep feeling that you can sink into. More reminiscence of that 90s sound, it encourages vulernability, and a warmth that is precious.

Elmiene is asking to be loved, despite believing he doesn’t deserve it. And from his perspective, love is something that works better when two people are actively working towards it.

He sings in his typical breathless tone, voicing his own insecurity and doubts, confessing them with a low, forlorn air, but at times his voice rises, breaking through the grey cloud to shine.

‘Honour’ will be on his anticipated debut album sounds for someone, which is set for an end of March release. He also announced that his North American / European headline tour starts in Detroit, MI and concludes in LA, CA on 31st May

The UK/EU tour begins in Amsterdam on 29th Nov and will visit Paris, Berlin, Manchester, Bristol, Brussels, and Manchester markets, coming to a close on the 8th December at London’s Eventim Apollo.
