DEELA returns with double-single, "DEY PLAY" and "Gbona"

Nigerian-British rapper DEELA releases her double-single "DEY PLAY!" and “Gbona”. The two tracks are so different as stand-alones, but work in tandem to represent a culture and a life for the artist. "DEY PLAY!" is braggadocious and unbothered, a product of pure boss energy. It is bold and witty, while "Gbona" (meaning hot/heat in Yoruba) turns inward, an anthem about self belief and the fire that keeps her moving.

DEELA has made a name for herself across the music industry in the past years, supporting Amaarae across her London and Paris shows, and having a standout feature on Little Simz's surprise EP "SUGAR GIRL”. She's also just played Fête De La Musique and Somerset House alongside Naïka. Born and raised in Lagos before relocating to England at 11, she navigated cultural shock without ever compromising her being.
