In true daily paper style, the Amsterdam- based powerhouse takes us on a spiritual journey across the seas, to Morocco. Through the artisanal, collection we honour North Africa’s identity and its connection with nature’s abundance. We observe the silent dance between written and spoken languages along with Daily Paper. Thus through the contemporary seasonal styles, we celebrate nature’s teachings. Which we find ‘Under the Same Moon’.
Nature’s teachings are embodied in the plant network that imprints the summer pieces, Through the earthy tones, Daily Paper reminisces the process in which nature exchanges nutrients. In this, they celebrate a harmonious and collectivist way of living. This is reinforced by featured artworks that are by Artist Yasmin Elnour.
We see the visual depths of Moroccan craftsmanship, in embroidered accents, that span a range of designs within the collection. We see the signature red and green codes in crochet silhouettes and staple tracksuits. The two-piece in natural henna dye and woven tapestry jacquard shows the use of natural resources.
Daily Paper welcomes new seasonal bags in their brand arsenal. In fact, a new tote in black takes the stage but leaves room for the returning veterans. These include shield quilted bags in Odyssey blue and an absinth green mini handbag.
The SS23 collection is another opportunity for Daily Paper to build on its love letter to African roots. Along with Daily Paper, we remember where we come from and where we’ve been with each milestone. In doing so we write the story we’ll eventually tell when we come back home. Under the same moon
