The greatly anticipated festival Cloud X has recently announced its 2022 lineup, and this year is one for the history books. The festival returns this summer on the 7th August following an exceptional sold out event last year, during a time in which covid was still running riot, which tells you everything you need to know about the importance of this festival. Cloud X holds its values above everything else, with their main ethos being to nurture and encourage the quality of being oneself, curating an inclusive space for the next generation of pioneering creatives that are telling their story through their incredible craft in bold and original ways. Cloud X places high importance on championing soul, R&B and alternative sounds in order to provide an inspiring and soul-warming day out.
Cloud X have never limited themselves to one genre, in fact, they pride themselves on doing the exact opposite, and with the recent lineup announcement, they have once again proved that through the versatility of the festival’s lineup they have constructed a lineup that caters to everyone, whilst also guaranteeing the quality of artists remains consistent throughout. London’s prestigious boutique festival consistently celebrates quality music, and have done this once more with a range of incredible artists featuring the likes of Biig Piig, DJ Spinall, Felix The 1st, Jojo, Nayana IZ, Sam Wise, Santino Le Saint, Sasha Keable and Scuti, all whilst being hosted at East London’s historic Studio 338.
The festival is certainly not one to be missed, with Cloud X co-founder David Dabieh explaining of the artists who have previously performed: “We’ve been so blessed to see the growth of artists such as Lola Young (now Brit nominated), Juls (now Grammy-nominated), Sainte and more since then. We can’t wait to share this year’s lineup for live performers, food vendors and selectors, roll on the Summer of Love!”, proving exactly why Cloud X is such an important event in British culture. The festival is a celebration of the best up-and-coming talent in the country, and an integral part of the city’s independent music scene through its events, label, and management team, providing a much-needed space for underrepresented artists.
