Clipse Marks Milestone with Five GRAMMY® Nominations

Upon their monumental return to Hip-Hop with their first album in 16 years, Clipse have marked a major milestone by being nominated for five GRAMMY® awards from their latest album LET GOD SORT EM OUT. Their other nominations included Best Rap Performance for “Chains & Whips,” Best Rap Song for “The Birds Don’t Sing,” and Best Music Video for “So Be It.”

The nominations mark a major moment for Pusha T and Malice and Roc Nation Distribution, considering their album LET GOD SORT EM OUT was the duo’s first fully independent album release. Initially there was pushback from their original label Def Jam with including Kendrick Lamar on a feature as he was amidst rep beef with Canadian rapper Drake. Pusha T's longtime manager Steven Victor helped Pusha T and Clipse be released from Def Jam and he was quickly picked up by Roc Nation Distribution.

“This moment is the result of two artists staying true to their vision and continuing to raise the bar of what authenticity sounds like,” Roc Nation Distribution President Krystian Santini said. “Earning five GRAMMY nominations independently is a remarkable achievement, and we’re extremely proud to stand beside Clipse as they make history once again.”

The album, which received critical acclaim, was executive produced by Pharrell Williams and featured guest appearances from artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The Creator, Nas, John Legend, The-Dream, Ab-Liva, Stove God Cooks, among others.

Recently, Clipse completed the U.S. segment of their LET GOD SORT EM OUT tour and are now performing across Europe. They will be performing in London on the 10th and 12th of November.
