City Splash Is The Only Place You Need To Be This Bank Holiday Weekend

If you want to be transported to Jamaica, but don’t want to leave the UK then look no further, City Splash Festival in Brockwell Park is the only place you need to be on this Bank Holiday Monday.

A local festival that once began in Beckenham Place Park back in 2021, City Splash has continued to grow over the years, surpassing its original expectations and now holding a capacity of more than 30,000 attendees per year, now located in the heart of South London, the festival has become London’s go to one day only event that celebrates both Caribbean and African sound, culture and community, past headliners include Popcaan, Beenie Man, Capleton, Shenseea, Busy Signal, Tarrus Riley, and Spice.

This year the festival is set to be even bigger than before with 70 year old reggae legend Beres Hammond, best known for ‘I Feel Good’ and ‘Rock Away’ set to take the headline spot and an exclusive UK show. If you want to move your shoulders to ‘Yeah Yeah’ or move your feet to the ‘Willie Bounce’, dancehall legends Elephant Man and Aidonia will be there to turn up the heat.

For those who want to slow it all the way down and be Hopelessly in Love we’ve got you with The Queens of Lover’s Rock; Janet Kay and Carroll Thompson and if you want to whine up your waist and sing your heart out to hits like ‘Hold You’ and ‘Nah Let Go’ then Gyptian is the man for you.

For homegrown sounds and talent that tap into funky house, garage, tribal house and everything else in between, look no further, as Donae’o, Heartless Crew, Juls, So Solid Crew, Pioneer, Supa D, Coldsteps & Terminal 4, Dankie Sounds and more will have you moving until the sun goes down.

If you want to rock away to good music you have no choice but to head down to City Splash Festival, this weekend, grab a ticket before it's too late!
