Antonio Breez Unveils New Track 'Ride' Alongside Summer-ready Visuals

Just under two years after the success of his acclaimed fourth album Views & Likes, which birthed breakout singles like ‘Listening To Drake’ and ‘Snap Chat’, Boston rapper, singer and songwriter Antonio Breez is gearing up to release his anticipated fifth studio album this fall. Now based in Los Angeles, the witty Boston lyricist and smooth vocalist is excited to begin his 2022 rollout with the glorious R&B opus titled ‘Ride’, along with its summer-ready music video to accompany it.

Written by Antonio Breez and produced by Ocean Luciano, ‘Ride’ is a smooth and captivating offering, that pairs Breez’s easy-going vocal texture, with producer Luciano’s original spin on conventional R&B. The production makes great use of sliding 808’s, a luscious Spanish guitar arrangement and an intermittent yet simple piano loop within the chorus, to add a subtle nostalgic tinge to the overall theme of the song. The track sees the LA-based Boston native play on the tracks title 'Ride' by using it as a metaphor throughout to reference both his confusion with regards to his pursuit of a given lover and his ultimate longing for stability with this same person.

For the accompanying music video, Antonio Breez collaborated with video director and fellow Los Angeles-based creative Corey Saldana to bring the track further to life. Filmed on the seaside in Malibu and along the Pacific Coast Highway in California, the video for ‘Ride’ brings us that much closer to the summer, with its glorious cinematography and summertime vibes, while showing Breez trying to profess his ‘ride or die’ love to his girlfriend, and asking her to ride with him.

Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Ride’, Antonio Breez says, “the song was written four years ago. The song was inspired by just manifesting the type of love I’ve always wanted to have. That ride or die, that rider. It’s something I think we can all relate to. For four years, I’ve been perfecting the song until it was just right, and now it’s what I always knew it could be. Lyrics don’t get old, but beats do, and before the beat was re-imagined with Luciano, it was originally produced by ProdbyKJ”.

Championed by MTV, Genius, BET, VH1, HipHopDX and Hot 97, among others, Antonio Breez burst onto the hip-hop and rap landscape with his seminal debut album The Convocation Of Antonio Breez, and followed it up with his classic Migration Narrative and Migration Narrative 2 projects, before 2020’s breakout album Views & Likes that perfectly captured his newly crafted hip-hop and R&B fusion sound. ‘Ride’ is the next step on Breez’ trajectory to the world by storm in 2022.
