Aminé Unveils His Highly Anticipated Third Studio Album 13 Months of Sunshine

Aminé has returned with full force as he releases his third studio album 13 Months of Sunshine featuring recently released singles  “Arc de Triomphe”, which seamlessly samples garage classic Has It Come to This by The Streets , as well as summer filled singles “Vacay” and “Familiar” .

Executively produced by Dahi, who has worked with the likes of Ravyn Lenae, SZA, Kendrick Lamar, 13 Months of Sunshine is an effortless 16 track album that bounces and blends between genres including Hip-Hop, R’n’B and Indie Pop, all while embracing Aminé’s Ethiopian and Eritrean roots. The album features guest appearances from some of Aminé’s most talented peers including Leon Thomas, Toro y Moi, Lido, Waxahatchee, chlothegod, and 454.

“They came up with this slogan to show people that there was so much more to Ethiopia than what is advertised,” the rapper shared, “I related so heavily to it, because on this album, I am showing that there’s so much more than what everyone assumes about my music—myself included.”  - Aminé

Aminé has come a long way since his 2016 break-out hit Caroline, which has been viewed over 380M times and was the summer soundtrack for many that year and is still revealing from the success of 2021 mixtape TWOPOINTFIVE and joint album KAYTRAMINÉ with KAYTRANADA.  With a career that has continued to go from strength to strength, while maintaining the support of his core fans, 13 Months of Sunshine see’s Aminé embrace his East African roots, tap into inspiration from those closest to him, explore his skills in intentional storytelling, while simultaneously allowing him to think deeply about his future and legacy.
