Manchester native Akemi Fox has unveiled the lush single Carry On, a mixture of R&B, lo-fi and neo-soul. Produced by long-time collaborator Teo alongside Maths Time Joy, the song features beautifully blended synths & minimal percussion layered underneath Fox’s alluring vocals.
Released through Manchester-based independent label NQ Records, who take pride in having an impressive roster of Northern talent, Fox has supported fellow Mancunian neo-soul virtuosos Children of Zeus twice for their shows, as well as being a part of the Adidas x VERSUS campaign for Manchester United’s 2021/2022 kit. Akemi Fox is another young talent showing why Manchester is a force to be reckoned with in the UK music scene.
Her first solo music release since her 2020 EP Colour In You, Carry On is the perfect late-night track, with the music video premiering on Friday 12th November on her official VEVO channel.
