54 Ultra drops ‘Tell Me’, ‘Talk To You’ and an Autumn Headline Tour

54 Ultra has dropped a new bilingual track ‘Tell Me’ ahead of his new run of North American and European tour dates. Produced by Paul Cherry, his album run will see him playing his largest headline show to date, as well as appearances at several iconic summer festivals including Lollapalooza and Reading & Leeds.

The release of ‘Tell Me’ comes after a busy Spring for 54 Ultra's career, including his Coachella debut and the release of his double single ‘Turnaround’ and B-side, ‘I’m Hooked'. 54 Ultra currently features on and produced ANOTR collaboration ‘Talk To You’. He has a sculpted and distinct  synth-laced indie-rock-soul sound, which really sets him apart from other musicians of this time.

The product is a high-energy dance track which has sat #1 on the Warm Global Dance Radio chart for the past 17 weeks and was recently championed by England’s World Cup team. Currently top 3 in the UK charts, 54 Ultra also joined ANOTR to perform the track for their New York City and Ibiza shows.

Beginning his musical journey in New Jersey, 54 Ultra is the musical project of songwriter and producer JohnAnthony Rodriguez. In the vast range that modern music has to offer, 54 Ultra somehow still manages to stand out. His rhythmic and sonic choices are indebted to his Puerto Rican and Dominican roots, weaving indie rock with a Latin heartbeat. This underscore is layered with smooth vocals, and it truly becomes a stand alone production. The unique mood and feel of his music, combining nostalgia with something new and different has lead him to garner fans across the world.

Last May, Johnny released his debut EP, First Works, which Billboard recognized as one of the Best Projects of the Year (So Far). The six-track EP laid the groundwork for his sold-out fall tour leg and resulting singles, ‘I Won’t Go’ and ‘Find Your Love,’ the latter of which premiered on KCRW’s Live from HQ.

His work truly is a must-listen, and his tour is guaranteed to attract a wide and diverse audience.
