15-Year-Old Rap Virtuoso Nino SLG Shares His Debut EP 'State Of Mind'

Nino SLG is London’s rising teen prodigy, ready to take on the world – equipped with an unassailably poised delivery and discerning penmanship.

Nino is on track to become a household name over the next few months, with the release of his debut EP State of Mind, the 15-year-old delivers his message in such a way that makes you do double-take when you realise his age. Slated to be a hit with the backing of a signing from Mixtape Madness, the EP offers a refined selection on tracks, establishing solid groundwork for the beginnings of Nino's career.

Finding his own path, the Londoner uses music as a means to express past traumas and create an emotional discourse on the bitter realities of growing up black in Britain. Nino has displayed an aptitude for music from the age of 11, inspired by music lessons and poetry at secondary school. From here he learned to play the piano further fueling his drive to establish a future career in music.

In a press release Nino details how the EP came to fruition – “The EP reflects my emotional state while making certain songs, whether that’s my happiness in songs like “Lit Now” or my anger and sadness in an interlude like “Rolling Deep”. On the day of the EP release, a single called “London State of Mind (L.S.O.M)” will be released to the public also. I feel as though this single will allow Londoners to relate to the experiences, worries and thoughts that I experience whilst living in my area.”
