'10 Percenter' M1llionz Hits Fans With Long-Awaited 'Bando Spot' And Two Huge Announcements...

Ever since he came on the scene, M1llionz has been anything but conventional. Today is a day like no other for the UK's smoothest Drill artist. Teased for a long time and whipping the fans into a furore a week ago, his latest single 'Bando Spot' is a fast-paced, high tempo UK Drill banger interpolating 50 Cent's Platinum-selling 'Candy Shop' with M1llionz's unique twists and turns. In our view, this one has the potential to hit any other song of its kind out of the race.

The initial orchestral strings/brass and signature glitchy hi-hats (produced by Jevon & Honeywoodsix) build suspense and excitement before M1llionz hits bar after bar out of the park. 'I take you to the bando shop', highlights the stark contrasts between 50's sexy 'Candy Shop' with the gritty setting of UK Rap: 'the bando'. There's nothing sweet about the lyrics on this track with M1llionz floating on the beat with ease, tearing page after page out of his journal with lightning speed.

'Bando Spot' is a club banger, but a track that is true to its author. The latest addition to the mainstream trophy cabinet of UK Drill that is here to stay. The genius of using one of the most famous lines in Hip Hop history 'I take you to the Candy Shop' will also appeal to old school Hip Hop heads and bring more fans to the M1llionz ranks (even our American cousins). It's a smart move, whilst paying homage to the OG smooth talker Fiddy himself. With an extremely popular remix of 'Candy Shop' by the late Pop Smoke out there, it's easy to see how M1llionz's track comes as a fresh take, entirely unique and relevant to UK culture. We can see it riding the TikTok wave as well, only adding to its mainstream appeal.

M1llionz's unique Brum and Caribbean inflected cadence is something that sets him apart from any other competing artist and has earned him several coveted magazine covers including Clash, Notion and Gaffer. He is already a cornerstone of the next generation of young UK rappers and definitely paving the way to prove that London is not the epicentre of UK Rap culture.

Never content with just releasing a track capable of dethroning Russ Millions & Tion Wayne's 'Body' Remix (currently at number 2 on the Spotify UK charts and almost a staggering hundred million plays), M1llionz hits us with the news of his upcoming his debut mixtape 'Provisional Licence' (coming this Summer) and the announcement that YouTube have named him their next 'Artist On The Rise' from the UK.

Sheniece Charway, Artist Relations Manager at YouTube Music had this to say: “M1llionz is one of the hottest rappers in the UK hailing from Birmingham. He has made a huge impact on the UK scene and we are so excited to continue to support him and help him continue to grow his audience on YouTube and make him a global star. He is definitely an artist that we will be talking about in years to come”

If 10% make it out, M1llionz is the 1% that creates a whole new stage for themselves.
