Zara's Half a Century Campaign Is A Love Story in Fashion’s Purest Form

Marking a momentous fifty years at the forefront of global style, Zara presents a dazzling tribute to its legacy, orchestrated by none other than Steven Meisel. This extraordinary project brings together fifty of the most celebrated models in the world for a singular cinematic expression of elegance, artistry and enduring connection. Initiated by Marta Ortega Pérez, whose deep admiration and creative alliance with Meisel stretches back years, the project is a powerful testament to shared passion and mutual respect.

This initiative is an ode to meaningful relationships. Meisel’s profound understanding of his subjects allows him to reveal their essence in ways few others can. The models, many of whom have worked with him over decades, respond with a rare intimacy and warmth, stepping beyond poses and into character, singing Donna Summer’s iconic anthem I Feel Love. This collective performance becomes a symbolic chorus, not only of fashion’s emotive power, but also of Meisel’s unrivalled rapport with the people in front of his lens.

Zara, too, extends an invitation through this milestone moment, welcoming customers and admirers into its world, honouring not just its own history, but the wider community that has shaped it. Since its founding, Zara has remained devoted to the truest spirit of fashion, rooted in collaboration with industry titans and unwavering commitment to creative excellence.

Each of the fifty models is styled by Karl Templer in pieces from a new collection unveiled in tandem with this celebration. Inspired by the timeless elegance of tuxedo dressing, the collection speaks to a universal language of sophistication, monochrome, effortless, and without borders. The creative ensemble behind the visuals reads as a who’s who of contemporary fashion. Pat McGrath provides make up, Guido Palau shapes the hair, and art direction is led by Jason Duzansky, with casting by Piergiorgio Del Moro. All are long time collaborators in Meisel’s creative universe.

This is more than an anniversary campaign. It is a living archive. A love letter to fashion’s past, present and future, told through voices and faces that have helped define it. Zara’s fiftieth year doesn’t simply look back. It sets a stage, bold, beautiful and alive with feeling, for what comes next.
