Zara Larsson Brings Endless Euro Summer Energy to Wembley

Nostalgia met pure pop confidence at Zara Larsson’s sold-out OVO Arena Wembley show last night, a night that felt like the soundtrack to a sun-drenched Euro summer, even in the depths of November. And whilst the clouds turn grey and the wind gets even more chilling, that didn't stop waves of her fans dressed in their most vibrant mini skirts and crop tops adorned with sequins and glitter to match that ibiza-party-euro-summer vibe. Since the release of her fifth studio album Midnight Sun, people have finally noticed Larsson. We all need some pure bubblegum pop in our lives and it felt breezy and polished. Notably feeling and sounding cohesive as a project whilst she brings more of her creative direction to her work. Matching the album, the sonics and tour as a whole is just pure FUN. From getting American personality Tiffany "New York" Pollard to re-record lines from her iconic read of Gemma Collins from her diary room moment in Big Brother which Larsson sampled into "Hot & Sexy" to including a wonderfully cheesy accordion sample in "eurosummer" reminiscent of "Stereo Love", we say get this Swedish girl out of Scandinavia, her soul is destined for the Balearic Islands!

Opening with Midnight Sun, Zara immediately set the tone for the evening whilst showcasing insane vocals. She's radiant, confident and completely in control with an 'It girl' quality. Moreover, she's sweet and likeable like she could easily be your best friend. Beautiful, talented, and endlessly charismatic, she has a way of making everyone in the room feel like the most fabulous person alive. The show itself was a kaleidoscope of colour and emotion. From bold lighting to seamless choreography, every moment felt carefully crafted without ever losing its sense of fun. A live band added a welcome edge to her glossy pop sound, and those well-timed dance breaks reminded us just how seasoned and skilled a performer she is.

Classic hits like Lush Life turned the arena into a euphoric singalong, while other tracks like Puss Puss, Crush, and Hot & Sexy brought an irresistible energy. It was a reminder of how easily Zara can shift between heartfelt and playful between making the room feel like one big party to then speaking on how she wants to be successful in life and all her growing pains of girlhood.

The crowd, mostly young and devoted, hung on her every word. And the feeling was mutual. Zara’s warmth and genuine affection for her fans shone throughout. “I’ve been doing this for a very long time and this is my biggest tour yet — and I hope it gets bigger and bigger,” she tells us. It’s hard not to believe her. With powerful vocals, polished choreography, and undeniable star power, Zara Larsson feels poised to join the ranks of global pop greats. Like Dua Lipa, she’s built for arenas and for moments that feel larger than life.

This was Euro summer bottled and brought to Wembley. And with Zara at the helm, it’s a summer that never really ends.
