This week HUGO - the newer subsidiary under mega brand HUGO BOSS, partnered with Strawberries & Creem to launch ‘S&C PRESENTS HUGO NIGHTS’. The first of their party series in London, the events come as a welcomed addition to social calendars, with this one celebrating HUGO's newest drop, the HU-GO1ST sneaker in a night traversing fashion, music, art and culture. Boasting a guest list scattered among the city’s who’s who in influencers, fashionistas and London-scene buzz-worthy individuals, the collaboration presented a thriftless night of socialising, top-notch mixes from the DJs and a headline performance from the only Loyle Carner. Names like Mabel, Bugzy Malone, Mr Eazi, FLO, Patrcia Bright, Issey Malone and many more were in attendance, setting the tone for the hot-ticket event. With supporting sets from DJs Paris Francis, Keyrah and Isaac Carter, as well as Strawberries & Creem co-founders and resident DJs Chris Jammer and Cardinal Sound breaking-in the first of many.
Strictly invite-only, with a debonair undercover location which we can now disclose - the evening brought a blissful night and exceptionally stylish scene complements of the chosen locale, The Vaults. Among deliciously free-flowing whisky cocktails and nibbles, the scene was live with attendees dawning Hugo’s freshest collection, iPhones at the ready to snap the perfectly red-tinted festivities and looks that would make you step up your fashion game in the hopes you’d be able to finesse an invite to the next one.
By way of the seamless event, Loyle Carner hit the stage with his laid-back allure, serenading the crowd and delivering the perfect highlight to the evening. Pulling out a fluid set list, the artist seemed in his element with his tempered rap style that felt fit for the scene. Cool and sincere, and backed by a live band, his vocals were steady with the breath control that marked the stamp of a well-seasoned rap lyrist - managing the energy of the intimate setting.
As Chapter One has come and gone, we wait with heavy anticipation as Chapter Two is already set for July and is rumored to have another top headliner, must-see emerging talent, and famed DJs. And with The Vaults providing a gem of a destination with its two-floored underground venue, trim with HUGO-themed fittings, and complete with a cozy garden trail entry, there is surely high hopes for what HUGO NIGHTS has in store for the next one. Fans can have a chance at snagging a ticket, so keep up via the HUGO and S&C social channels, as announcements are soon to come.
