Bukayo Saka x New Balance: The “7egacy” Edition Furon v8

As part of New Balance’s continued growth and support for sporting individuals, the brand has collaborated with Arsenal and England star boy Bukayo Saka for the release of a new boot, the “7egacy” Edition, a custom colourway of the Furon v8 designed with the winger himself, who wears number 7 for both club and country.

The special edition Furon v8 combines New Balance’s performance engineering with a bespoke design that reflects Bukayo’s creative vision, illustrating his life both on and off the pitch.

Bukayo worked closely with New Balance designers to ensure this limited-edition colourway maintained the performance details that have become synonymous with the Furon v8, while also reflecting his personal story through iconography. The design features hand-illustrated graphics and symbols chosen to honour Bukayo’s game, values, and culture, including a lion to represent leadership, a Bible and dove to reflect his faith, and a key as a reminder to stay focused on his goals.

“I wanted to create a boot that shares my story with the fans who inspire me every day. From faith to football, everything I care about is woven into this design,” says Bukayo Saka. “New Balance gave me the freedom to be fully creative, from the colours and textures to the marketing campaign that surrounds this boot. I was involved in every step of the process, and I’m proud of what we created. Now it’s up to others to create their own stories with them.”

The Furon v8 Bukayo Saka “7egacy” Edition delivers high impact on the pitch, featuring anodized metallic film and a premium hologram plate treatment that amplifies the rich burgundy, silver, and white colour palette. In addition to the iconography, subtle yet powerful accents run across the boot, rounding out Bukayo’s design and spiritual influence, his number 7 is prominently featured on the heel foxing weld, “Saka” is written on the lace aglets, and his personal logo is imprinted on the footbed.

“Bukayo had a clear vision of how he wanted the boot to look and what it represents,” says Luc Fusaro, Design Director, Global Football Product at New Balance. “He gave us the blueprint, and we fused his story with our elite craftsmanship to deliver a boot that is bold, personal, and built to perform. Every detail has meaning, and none of it compromises performance, it elevates it.”

To further highlight Bukayo’s impact on youth football, the launch is centred around a community campaign titled “Through Their Eyes,” which showcases young athletes’ unique perspectives within London’s grassroots football scene. Shot by eight young storytellers using disposable cameras, the campaign captures raw, personal football experiences centred on the next generation of players.

These young athletes will also take part in a community event celebrating their work, alongside workshops and panel discussions exploring personal expression through football.
