Timberland looks to the people and communities that turned its iconic Yellow Boot into a cultural staple.

For over 50 years, Timberland has existed at the intersection of craftsmanship, style and community. Now, The A to Z of Timberland celebrates the people, movements and moments that have shaped the brand beyond its original workwear roots.

The global campaign brings together a diverse cast of cultural figures spanning music, fashion, sport and art. Wu-Tang Clan founder RZA stars in and narrates the campaign film, reflecting hip-hop’s longstanding relationship with Timberland, while multidisciplinary artist Yaeji represents a new generation connecting club culture, contemporary art and global pop.

Professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones and Olympic champion Sha’Carri Richardson bring their own sense of fearless ambition and individuality to the campaign, alongside Paris-based creative Garance Vallée, whose work reflects Timberland’s connection to craft and distinctive design.

The campaign also looks back through Timberland’s cultural archive, featuring imagery of icons including The Notorious B.I.G., Tyrese, O.G.C. and Ozzy Osbourne. Their presence highlights the different generations and scenes that have helped turn the brand into a global cultural reference.

Rather than presenting a traditional brand history, the campaign explores the language that has developed around Timberland. From “Butters”, the community nickname for the Original Yellow Boot, to New York’s “Beef & Broccoli” colourway, the campaign highlights how consumers have continuously given the brand-new meaning.

For London Fashion Week, Timberland will bring the campaign into the city with an exhibition exploring the stories behind the brand. The programme will include a live art session with Teoni, customisation workshops hosted by Ryan Hawaii and a closing party soundtracked by London-born music platform Balamii.

Ultimately, The A to Z of Timberland feels less like a celebration of where the brand has been and more like an acknowledgement of the communities still shaping where it goes next. Its legacy was not built by Timberland alone — it was written by the culture that made the Yellow Boot its own.

Timberland’s dictionary was never going to be written by the brand alone. It was written by the culture that adopted it.

Following the release of this campaign, Timberland will launch a pop-up space on Percy Street in London from Thursday 17th – 19th September during London Fashion Week.
