The Luxury Collection Strikes anew with Collaboration from Margherita Maccapani Missoni

Updated: Apr 21

The Luxury Collection is no stranger to being associated with such words as ‘High-End’, or ‘Pristine’, a company whose heart is pumping through Italy’s artistic heritage. However, to celebrate their One-Hundred and Twentieth anniversary, there is a new route the Luxury-Hotel Chain has delved into. Collaborating with the famous and highly accredited Margherita Maccapani Missoni - founder of the fashion label Maccapani - the pair pursue a promising and highly anticipated collaboration just in time for Milan’s design week.

Founded in 1906, the Luxury Collection has always had pure quality at its heart. In the past One-Hundred and Twenty years, the now Marriott owned company has curated a staggering One-Hundred and Thirty hotels in over Forty Countries. “At The Luxury Collection, we are guided by a deep respect for the character and cultural legacy that shapes each destination,” states Bruce Rohr, the Vice President and Global Brand Leader of The Luxury Collection. To tap into the market of Italian fashion seems a no brainer, especially when collaborating with a prominent yet recently emerged artist like Missoni. Reinforcing Milan’s reputation as a global capital of design and craftsmanship, for this collaboration, Margherita’s distinctive creative perspective ‘shapes a retail experience that highlights both emerging and heritage artisans’.

Speaking on the highly anticipated collaboration, Margherita Maccapani Missoni has stated that the collaboration has allowed her to “deepen my connection to the artisans, traditions, and places that shape Italy’s creative identity”, reflecting the “culture, craft, and character of these remarkable destinations”. On top of the capsule collection, Margherita will personally curate a selection of Italian artistry, which will highlight the regional craftsmanship and traditional techniques. Among the featured makers are Il Papiro, the Florentine paper atelier, Iacobella, also a Florence-based producer, specialising in leather handbags, and Lucia Zamberletti, a Milanese ceramic artist celebrated for her sculptural forms. The Maccapani Moto T-shirt, alongside the six embroidered patches inspired by The Luxury Collection’s iconic portfolio of Italian hotels, will be available for purchase at Maccapani Store.

However, the Destination Discovery doesn’t end there, with the Luxury Collection Hotel Casa Brera in collaboration with Margherita, inviting guests to explore the Milanese workshops behind several of the artisans featured in the pop-up. This one of a kind guided experience will offer a rare insider perspective into Milan’s vibrant craft traditions and the makers shaping the city’s design landscape.

The Maccapani Edits for The Luxury Collection pop-up will be open to the public at Casa Brera, Milan from April 20th to 26th, 2026, coinciding with Milan Design Week.
