Paris Fashion Week let Stella McCartney Summer 27 collection tell the story of who is wearing the brand and drawing the connection between humanity, urgency and sustainability. The wearer is no stranger to ethical dressing however Stella McCartney arrived loud and clear with the message this season in a zero-wool show.

Amongst the rapid moving pace of fashion month, the luxury designer gave viewers of the show the opportunity to steadfast their desirability to be swept under the storm of overconsumption in the city of unmatched atelier. Each look designed with 100% responsible materials and invited to dive deep underwater of the ocean's organic colour palette; seafoam and sage green, corals and sea-blues.

In attendance were the industry's style icons Lauryn Hill, Miranda Kerr, Jenifer Lopez and Adot Gak, just a few of the names sat front row to witness this season's escapade of sea life experimentation in design.

Transparent fish wire was used to create sculptural evening wear with ombre sequins reflecting like marine life scales under the lights. Structured shoulder padding has been a common theme across collections this season with the corporate luxury 80's look having a comeback and as Stella McCartney breathes this style herself, it would only be right these looks came in between the sports style designs on the catwalk. When it came to the loose fitted, low-rise, distressed jeans and open buttoned shirts in the collection, there were no alarm bells to ring as the new washes used completely recycled denim.

As expected the Stella McCartney x adidas Autumn Winter 26 trainers featured among the collection, paired with three of the looks. Whilst new additions in the accessories department were debuted at the show, the core sustainability practices continued to follow in the with transparent Falabella bags made from recycled bottles.

Stella McCartney continues to be the epicentre of creative ethical fashion with an unwavered sense of possibility despite the climates we live in. As the industry experts and fashion's elite travel to the next shows before the season ends, it's clear that there is more visibility of the future in Stella McCartney's world than luxury houses have been expected to showcase.

In a polluted and oversaturated industry, Stella McCartney lets the underwater world bring a fresh perspective of where fashion can meet sustainability, in a fight for justice where the wearer owes no cost.
