Samm Henshaw Shares Wholesome new Song "Chicken Wings" and Announces Mini-Tour

An upbeat marriage between his UK roots and US influences, singer-songwriter Samm Henshaw is back, this time offering the effortlessly catchy single Chicken Wings. Marinated in Henshaw’s signature jovial, positive sauce, Chicken Wings is a comedic but witty track, with the lyrics expressing his love for the simple things underneath the many clever food innuendoes. Produced by Josh Grant, a long-time collaborator of Henshaw’s who has worked with the likes of Shawn Mendes, the playful beat draws inspiration from old school R&B, with the soulful saxophone and band moments towards the end sprinkling a gospel flavour on top.

The track stands alongside previous singles Grow and Still Broke as a sneak-peek into Henshaw’s upcoming debut album, Untidy Soul, releasing January 2022. The album also sees Henshaw entering his acting bag, as it follows the journey of Sonny (played by Henshaw) as he navigates his way through the ups and downs of life.

Chicken Wings also serves as an on-theme promo for Samm’s newest venture, a partnership with Patty & Bun and his own bespoke, original meal throughout the month of October.

Samm Henshaw’s music is known to transcend genres; mixing components of soul, R&B, neo-soul and gospel into pop; with his breakthrough into the mainstream music scene being the critically acclaimed single Broke, released in 2018. Henshaw also called upon the similarly unapologetically-authentic, alternative hip-hop duo EARTHGANG for Church, followed up by another collaboration with London rapper Wretch 32. Despite his brilliant collaborations, Henshaw is undoubtedly a standout individual whose artistry and talent goes beyond just music.
