Following a global call-out that drew emerging talent from around the world, five visionary thinkers, now known as the Oakley Future 5, have been selected to take part in an immersive journey inside Oakley’s iconic archive and its daring vision for 2075. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will see them collaborate with leading industry experts, receive hands-on mentorship, and help reimagine the next generation of cultural tools across eyewear, apparel, footwear, accessories, and beyond.

Meet the Oakley Future 5: Khumo Morojele, Lexi Scharpf, Nigel Matambo, Harry Whitfield (aka Charity Kase), and Joe Brimicombe, each bringing their own unique lens to what tomorrow could look like when creativity knows no bounds.

The Innovation Lab is rooted in Oakley’s new future-facing campaign and collection, Artifacts From The Future, a bold new era of products that embody tomorrow’s inventions, delivered today. For decades, Oakley has rewritten the design rulebook, from iconic models like the Sub Zero and Eye Jacket to cult classics like the Mars and Medusa. These ‘artifacts’ have shaped global culture on podiums, runways, festival stages, and city streets alike. Now, Oakley’s design language for 2075 arrives in 2025, daring the next generation to push even further.

During the Innovation Lab, the Oakley Future 5 deep dived into future-focused workshops led by IoDF’s leading voices at the cutting edge of design and technology. Themes explored Oakley’s legendary pieces, from Eyeshades to Over The Top and examine how athletes like Jaylen Brown, Kylian Mbappé, and Trinity Rodman transcend sport to become cultural icons, echoing Oakley’s belief that performance design is culture design.
