Mysie: Live At Colours Hoxton

Taking the stage last night at Colours Hoxton, rising star Mysie put on a cosmic show sharing some of her fan faves and gifting the audience a taste of her new material she says will be featured on her upcoming project.

A unique talent, the artist took centre stage for the Gotobeat showcase, captivating with her natural flair. Feeling like a gentle force the singer-songwriter has garnered critical acclaim from the likes of The Guadian and many more; swiftly making lists of ones to watch - also collecting an Ivor Novello Rising Star Award for her talents along the way. Sharing a brisk mixture of new and old, the artist treated us to a magnetic performance boasting her polarity. Citing some of her influences as everything from Chaka Chan, Thundercat to the greatly adored indie pop-rock era of the 2010’s and welding a distinct talent for songwriting, the artist categorically weaves tales brimming with a bracing relatability. Emotion feels like a key principle for the artist, as she leans into the moment, able to pull from and interpret themes spanning anything from heartache to cultural appropriation.

Opening with her ‘joyride’ her control is strikingly clear as her earthy vocals carry us through a journey of the starlet's life experience, a consistent feature within her calligraphy.
