Ms Banks Continues to Shake Up the Scene With ‘Shake It’

Ms Banks has been one of the leading ladies in the UK scene for some time now but took a much-deserved break and now she is taking back her crown with her Jersey inspired new anthem ‘Shake It’.

Hot off the success of her official comeback single ‘Boss Bitch’, Ms. Banks returns with an assertive and charismatic hit! In the form of 'Shake It'.

This new creative freedom comes after a 2-year hiatus which saw Ms Banks focus on her well-being and make some changes to her inner circle, including management and distribution. These changes are apparent in her music, as she is now attacking the scene with an elevated level of confidence.

Produced by R14, (D-Block Europe, Clavish) ‘Shake It’, delivers a high energy canvas, blending Hip-Hop, Drill and Garage. Here, Ms. Banks effortlessly glides through different flows with a strong tenacity to her lyrics, where the listener is guided through the narrative of Banks locking eyes with her partner, to them hitting the dance floor together.

This newfound extra bout of confidence comes through in her playful lyrics, “I’m not a snack anymore I'm a delicacy”, acknowledging how she has levelled up since her break.

With clean and crisp visuals to match, resembling some of the nostalgic videos many of us grew up on from the American Hip-Hop market, the video is another example of Banks reaching new heights. It is clear Ms Banks is ready to take her music and her brand to a wider audience, without compromising her individual flair that set her apart from her peers in the first place.

With many impressive milestones under her belt already, including supporting the likes of Megan The Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B on tour, a performance with Little Mix at The Brit Awards and a spot on Forbes 30 under 30, it will be interesting to see what she can achieve next. However, one thing is for certain, she is ending 2024 on a high.
