K-Trap links up once again with Blade Brown a few years after their Joints mixtape for the release of the free-flowing rap offering ‘Mobsters’.
Co-produced by X10 and M1onthebeat, who in the past collaborated for ‘Warm’, ‘Mobsters’ allows the dynamic duo pairing of K-Trap and Blade Brown to style on the instrumental at their best naturally playing off of each other as they depict their hectic and expensive lifestyle with a casual and characteristic air about them.
They rap with a fast-paced urgency as they weave their lyrics around them expertly tapping into an energy that would best be transferred into a rave setting.
Another single release in anticipation of the South Londoner’s highly-anticipated debut album SMILE?, hints at an overall arching theme of a mafioso type of feel.
K-Trap was heavily influenced by Classical mafia gangster films in the last single ‘Old School Era’ which was a more downtempo record and it will be interesting to see if it will manifest into other parts of the album
