JVCK JAMES Proves It’s ‘EASIER DONE THAN SAID' On Latest Track Ft STORMZY

Tiring of inaction and empty words, JVCK JAMES favours openness and bold intention as he returns after a two-year wait with ‘Easier Done Than Said’.

Heartfelt, the understated message of the track is all about consistency, accessibility and showing someone that you love them rather than just saying it.

The production is a texturised rhythmic instrumental with a funky bass intricately woven with emotive strings and undertones of piano melodies that act as the back drop for James’ sharp and distinct soulful vocals, sensitive and deep feeling, ‘Easier Done Than Said’ is all about love and passion, but also the steadiness that comes in a defined relationship.

The East Londoner has originally impressed with his 2021 EP  Joyride, and expectations rose a year later with his ON THE ROCKS’ EP, which featured tracks like ‘Hennessy Tears’, however, he admits to suffering writer’s block as a reason behind the silence.

"After two years away, this was the first song that made everything click again", JVCK JAMES said. "It broke my writer’s block and reaffirmed my vision! Every choice came from feeling, not rules — my vocals are pitched up throughout, the harmonies arranged like organised chaos. It’s soulful, playful, and 100% me.

Continuing, he says, “The song is about showing love through action, not talk. I think it’s the perfect opening chapter to a story yet to be told - and to be able to share this moment with Stormzy makes it even more special."

The track features multi-award-winning artist, Stormzy, who adds a smooth, insightful and reflective extended verse on, what is the second leg of the track as he vents and reflects on his relationship.

He raps “Pride was out of the window I was on the ropes/ pride was out the window took the wrong approach/ times we were both single but we both adults”, before ultimately pondering how they can move forward.
