This 33Bound-produced cut, follows the concept that the black identity is a monolith. That the community is made up of statistics, this come in response to the police brutality that has shaken the world into action mode. In addition to the common micro-aggression’s that project the narrative that they all look the same and sound the same.

Black & Ready reveals the Black faces that are covered and the black voices that are constantly muted. As a symbol of the current reckoning occurring within our society, which will slowly but surely force systematic oppressors to face theit injustices.

All the money from this single will be donated to The Black Curriculum – a social enterprise founded in 2019 to address the lack of Black British history in the UK Curriculum.
