James Blake Announces New Album, With New Track & Visuals For 'Say What You Will'

On Friday, multi-talented Mercury and Grammy award-winning producer/artist James Blake announced his 5th studio album 'Friends That Break Your Heart' to be released on September 10th. He also treated fans to the first single and visuals for 'Say What You Will' which maintains Blake's trademark haunting falsettos. The video is a hilarious parody of Blake's life in the shadow of FINNEAS' career and demonstrates his humorous take on the artists being compared to each other and how the music industry feeds off pitting artists against each other. Stating to Annie Mac on her most recent 'Hottest Record In The World': "Comparison really is the thief of joy." Fans of both Blake and FINNEAS took to YouTube and Twitter to announce their support with FINNEAS quick to advise that although he featured heavily in the video, he had not played a part in its production. Both artists hold great respect for each other.

James Blake, fresh from his collaboration on Dave's sophomore studio album 'We're All Alone In This Together' shared the tracklist and features for his latest body of work, which follows his Covers EP, a collection of his favourite track covers and his highest-charting studio album, the Grammy-nominated 'Assume Form' (2019).

'Friends That Break Your Heart' will feature established US artists such as JID and SZA as well as the more up and coming voices of SwaVay and Monica Martin both known for their lyrical content and approach to their art.
