Global Fashion Collective Brings Emerging Voices to the Paris FW26 Stage

During Paris Fashion Week FW26, Global Fashion Collective gathered a diverse lineup of international designers under one roof at La Maison des Métallos. I will be reflecting on the showcase and the creative voices shaping the next generation of global fashion. Paris Fashion Week is usually defined by the industry's biggest houses, but some of the most interesting perspectives often emerge on smaller stages. On 5 March 2026, Global Fashion Collective returned to Paris with its Fall/Winter 2026 showcase at La Maison des Métallos, presenting designers from Japan, Canada, China, India and the United States.

As someone who spends a lot of time analysing runway looks and styling inspiration through my platforms on social media, showcases like this are always great to watch. Instead of a single brand narrative, Global Fashion Collective presents multiple design voices in one space, creating a snapshot of where emerging fashion is heading. Global Fashion Collective has built its reputation around creating opportunities for emerging and independent designers to show work during major fashion weeks. The platform brings together designers at different stages of their careers, encouraging cultural exchange while offering international exposure.

July et Nico:

Japanese label July et Nico opened the showcase by revisiting traditional kimono garments. The collection focused on restoring pieces that had been stored away in wardrobes, bringing them back into contemporary life while preserving their craftsmanship and cultural history.

Graduate Runway:

Graduate Runway, an initiative from Global Fashion Incubator, returned to Paris Fashion Week for its third edition. This year’s showcase featured emerging designers from institutions including ISDI Atlas University and the Vogue Institute of Art & Design.

CFT:

Japanese label CFT. marked its ten-year milestone with the collection 'SHIFT'. Relaxed silhouettes, voluminous sleeves, and monochromatic layering defined the runway looks, with a palette dominated by grey, brown and black. As someone who gravitates towards structured outerwear and layered styling, CFT.’s approach felt particularly wearable. The silhouettes have presence without feeling overly complicated, which is something I always look for when thinking about styling.

Brunette The Label:

Canadian brand Brunette the Label introduced a collection inspired by the relaxed spirit of the West Coast, balanced with subtle Parisian elegance. The colour story ranged from deep plum and espresso to softer oatmeal tones and worn denim.

Jumper Zhang:

Chinese designer Jumper Zhang explored symbolism through the collection 'Circle', drawing inspiration from ancient sun motifs and circular floral patterns. Intricate embroidery, beadwork, and layering transformed these traditional symbols into modern couture silhouettes.

Bahar Kianpour:

Vancouver-based designer Bahar Kianpour presented 'BK004 – Lacrimosa', a collection centred on memory, emotion, and resilience. Known for her dreamlike aesthetic, Kianpour used delicate construction and soft silhouettes to explore vulnerability and strength.

Call and Response Clothing:

Call and Response Clothing delivred one of the evening’s most dramatic collections with 'Afterparty'. Metallic leathers, shearling, and velvet captured the lingering energy of a night that refuses to end.

The showcase concluded with Perry Jones’ 'Pt. IV: The Eclipse', the final chapter in his Cherry Moon narrative. Structured tailoring, draped fabrics, and deep garnet tones reflected the symbolism of lunar phases and transformation. From a styling perspective, pieces like these are the ones that immediately catch my attention. Strong silhouettes and layered textures create looks that can move between runway drama and real-world editorial styling.

Overall, as the sister initiative to Vancouver Fashion Week, Global Fashion Collective continues to expand its presence across fashion capitals including Tokyo, London, Milan and New York. For me, showcases like this highlight why fashion weeks still matter. They create space for designers who are experimenting with identity, storytelling and craftsmanship in ways that feel personal and forward-thinking. If this season’s lineup is anything to go by, the next generation of fashion designers is not only global but also deeply invested in cultural narratives that go beyond trends.
