Frex Deliberates On Taking The Next Step On 'Used To' Featuring Jordan Ward

Pennsylvania native Frex is the perfect expression of languid softness on her latest single ‘Used To’  as she connects with us on a personal human level as she muses on the early beginnings of a relationship

We relate to her Shyness and uncertainty as she fights to let go of past experiences before they sabotage her current relationship

The act of letting someone new into your space is daunting and despite the feel-good nature, she cannot help but be hesitant.

The R&B songstress sings against a stripped-back guitar-based production with her dream-like vocals, orbits the alternative worlds of a soulful R&B

Released via Island Records, featuring on the track is fellow rising R&B singer Jordan Ward, whose nonchalant and relaxed demeanour doesn’t take anything away from his passionate lyrism “I think that one touched my heart right there.”

Speaking on the single, frex said, “Used Ro is about really liking someone and figuring out whether or not you can trust them enough to take the next step.” 

This release follows up self-reflective ’Postcards’ then more recently  ‘Hoodie Back,’ ‘Oxford Circus’ and ‘Forever Thing’. Each release pulls inspiration from R&B, pop, jazz, classic rock, and more embracing softness and vulnerability whilst encouraging others to do the same.
