Jonathan Anderson continues to build his vision for a contemporary Dior with the introduction of the Dior Hooper, a new trainer unveiled as part of the House’s Winter 2026 collection. Drawing inspiration from the prominent basketball silhouettes of the 1980s, the style reflects Anderson’s ongoing fascination with recontextualising familiar cultural references for the luxury gaze.

The Dior Hooper arrives with a streamlined profile that balances sportswear influences with the refined craftsmanship we’ve come to expect of Dior by now. Characterised by both its lightweight construction and understated silhouette, the trainer is elevated through subtle details, including a suede strip that introduces texture and contrast across the upper. The design embraces a more subtle approach than overtly utilising the brand’s emblems, allowing materials and construction to have the spotlight; the sole is engraved with the House’s iconic cannage motif, a prudent reference to one of Dior’s most recognisable visual signatures.

The trainer is offered in two distinct iterations. One version is crafted in Dior Oblique Jacquard canvas, incorporating the emblematic motif originally conceived by Marc Bohan in 1967 and revived by Kim Jones in recent years. The second adopts a striking two-tone colour palette, emphasising the athletic influences that underpin the silhouette and offering a more graphic interpretation of the style.
