Enny Releases Surprise New Single ‘Selfridges’

Following on from a summer tour with Jorja Smith, self assured rapper and musician Enny returns with a surprise new single titled ‘Selfridges’ via FAMM. 

Enny's slick but mindful lyrics sit on a soothing melody while the music video playfully explores the concept of consumerism, the realities of wealth, class and labour. Known for her uniquely creative music videos and storytelling, the co-directed visuals see Enny take on a role as a cleaner alongside content creator and comedian Face In The News, the fictional narrative of “The Peng Black Girls Cleaning Company” sees the two take a chance on fate, as the splurge out on a shopping trip after after discovering an Amex card during a very expensive cleaning job.

The release of ‘Selfridges’ is a follow up to Enny’s recent online roll out where she claimed she was leaving the music industry for good to focus on the now fictional “The Peng Black Girls Cleaning Company”, this information was evidently false, but clearly a clever way to get fans and critics engaging with her music once again.

With a mind like this, the Peng Black Girls rapper continues to push boundaries with her sound, intricate storytelling and authentic collaborations with artists like Smino, Masego, Loyle Carner, Jorja Smith and more
