In the palm of Dior’s Fall 2026 offering comes Jonathan Anderson’s continued but tender unpicking and reassembling of the House’s visual language, returning this season to one of its most enduring signatures: the Medallion. First introduced in 1947 as part of Dior’s founding codes, and in furniture form, the motif - here softened with theaddition of afeminine, almost understated bow - has been shrewdly recontextualised for the modern wardrobe.

It’s no mere decoration this time either, and Anderson has positioned it asa conversation starter between heritageand utility. This is perhaps most clearly expressed in the Médaillon Flap bag; its defining feature, a clasp adorned with the reworked feature, anchors the design firmly in the House’s history while maintaining that contemporary air. Offered in both small and medium formats, the bag will arrive in aspectrum of finishes from pared-back colourways to the instantly recognisable Dior Oblique jacquard.. They hold considerable functionality too: an adjustable strap and sliding chain lend versatility, shifting the silhouette from shoulder bag to crossbody with the type of ease you’d expect from the new spirited Dior.

Elsewhere, the Medallion takes on a much morearchitectural role, appearing within a newly imagined bucket bag that leans into constructional form and striking adaptability. Integrated directly into the handle, the motif cleverly actsasa mechanism more than an embellishment, permitting the height of the bag to bealtered intuitively. Crafted in either Dior Oblique jacquard or supple grained leather, the piece balances practicality with refinement, further elevated by aremovable inner pouch that introducesan additional layer of flexibility. Like its flap counterpart, it’ll beavailable in both small and medium sizes. The designs construct a considered reworking of Dior’s visual identity, and also invite handling not dissimilar to Anderson’s belt buckles that were presented with the same level of House nostalgia. Available from April 2026, you can imbue your collection with the weight of nearly eight decades of design history - without jeopardising any style stature.
