Celestial Voiced Tora-i Releases New Single and Video For "Serial"

Tora Lamble AKA Tora-i has delivered some serene, goddess-like vocals for her latest track “Serial” alongside Aliyah Otchere-directed visuals.

Underpinned by a minimal production of skeletal keys and a backbeat which builds as the London-based artist leads into the hook. The track demonstrates Tora’s ability to never waver in clarity and sincerity when it comes to song-writing. In a press statement she mentioned it to be one of “the hardest songs” she has had to write so far. She began writing the track back in 2019 prior to the pandemic when, quite understandably, she was in a very different place emotionally. After taking a pause to readjust and reground her creative-self she finished the song off later in 2020.

The visuals, directed by long-time friend and collaborator, Aliyah Otchere depict Tora’s world through scenes which emit a quiet feeling of renewal and acceptance. Letting go of bygones as she leaves them slowly disappearing in the rear-view mirror. Whether she is seen gracefully boarding the tube or feeling the wind across her face in an open top car coasting through the forests of some English countryside, the scenes feel somewhat ethereal, like observing a dream.
