Luxury fashion house Casablanca has unveiled its debut line of luggage cases.
Created in collaboration with Globe-Trotter, the collection is an ode to the luxury of the jet-set lifestyle of the 1950s – through to the 1970s. With a brass hardware exterior, the fashion house’s aviation check pattern lines the interior of each bag – intricately designed using the signature French tricolour.
The six-piece collection reveals a large Check-In Trolley Case, a Carry-On Trolley Case and a selection of sophisticated smaller bags available in Miniature, London Square, Vanity and Attaché sizes.
The collection displays elements of Casablanca’s AW22 ‘Le Monde Diplomatique’ collection – in which travel and Parisian luxury are also heavily featured – combined with Globe-Trotter’s traditional aesthetic. Launched in 1897, the British luxury brand is known for its distinct handcrafted travel bags and accessories.
Touted as ‘The World’s Most Famous Suitcase’, Globe-Trotter’s bags have long been associated with prominent names and movies – including James Bond – who has famously used the luggage brand throughout the 007 series.
Casablanca’s defining attributes are not lost amongst this collection – with their well-known bamboo handle adorning the aluminium cases. Perfectly contrasted across this collection is the hardness of nature with the softness of architecture.
An extravagant final touch, a 22-karat gold ‘Casablanca’ logo plaque is fused to the front of each case.
The Casablanca x Globe-Trotter collection is available now at globe-trotter.com and at Globe-Trotter’s flagship stores in London’s Burlington Arcade and Tokyo’s Ginza.
