BXKS Drops The Heat On Bonfire Night In So Solid Crew Inspired Video '321' Feat. Oscar #Worldpeace

Today is the day where many will be igniting their bonfires for Guy Fawkes Night, but they aren’t the only ones sending the heat, with BXKS dropping her second mixtape of 2021, HACK THE PLANET. The mixtape leans on a variety of sonic influences from electronic and club music as seen through ‘4DaKidz’, and ‘Swish’, all the way to grime in ‘L.U.V’, and many, many more. The new project that features the dancehall-themed ‘Bones To Pick’ and the emphatic Timbaland-esque ‘Mean Amount’ ensuring that BXKS continues to prove her enviable versatility on this mix genre tape. Speaking on the collab, BXKS says:

“‘321 is a very laid back riddim with not many lyrics produced by Ewhizz and featuring Oscar #Worldpeace. They both shelled its so exciting for the tune to touch roads.”

Whilst BXKS is teeming with audible intent, she also comes well equipped with visual brilliance as she shares a high-energy video ‘321’ featuring Oscar #Worldpeace. Continuing on the thread of various influences that have formed HACK THE PLANET, ‘321’ pays homage to the era-defining ‘21 Seconds’ by So Solid Crew and ‘Round Round’ by the Sugababes in BXKS’s attempt to define an era herself. However, with that being said, the edgy, nostalgic visual directed by Jay Green starring both BXKS and Oscar provides the perfect visual texture for this body-pumping, crowd jumping track that has the potential to also be determined as era-defining.

On the video, Jay Green explains: “For ‘321’ I wanted to contribute to BXKS’s clear Y2k aesthetic, taking cues from Blade, The Matrix and So Solid’s ‘21 Seconds’ to form this gritty visual. Presenting her and Oscar #Worldpeace in this abstracted and infinite caged world that they are trying to break out and ascend from as unique and talented underground artists.” Green definitely achieved this, with the final product showcasing both BXKS and Oscar #Worldpeace as musical pioneers.
