R&B's favourite, Brent Faiyaz comes together with Drake on his new single 'Wasting Time', produced by American duo, The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo).
The heavy-Neptunes produced track has Faiayz as the lead vocalist rhythmically in his feels, as he sings in the chorus "If you gonna waste your time / then waste your time with me/you can have all the space / more than you need / it's no pressure, girl". Drake later joins the singer, in which he makes reference to The Queen's Gambit, Aaliyah, and is sure he is "More Purple Rain Prince than Prince Charming".
"Wasting Time" is just a taste of what to expect from Brent Faiyaz's highly-anticipated album. Alongside the awaited album, Faiyaz has released singles over the past few months, "Show U Off" and "Gravity" featuring Tyler, The Creator, and DJ Dahi. This comes after the release of his most recent EP, "Fuck the World" (2020).
Renowned for his authenticity and soulful vibes, the rising star continues to dominate the cultural conversation across music whilst greatly influencing music culture.
