All Eyes on Dublin for Jonathan Anderson’s Dior this December

After over a year of transforming the House of Dior, Jonathan Anderson is set to present the brand’s Fall 2027 collection at Trinity College Dublin on the 4th of December, marking the French maison’s first-ever runway show on the island of Ireland - revealed alongside a quote from Carmel Snow, and nothing is quite so fitting for the Creative Director’s tenure.

Staged within the university’s world-renowned Old Library, home to the iconic Long Room and the treasured Book of Kells, the presentation will unfold against one of Ireland’s most celebrated cultural landmarks. The 18th-century space, lined with centuries-old manuscripts beneath its soaring vaulted ceiling, certainly offers a unique backdrop for what we can expect to be one of Dior’s most significant destination shows to date.

For Anderson, the occasion carries a deeply personal significance. Born in Northern Ireland, the designer began his journey into fashion in Dublin before building a career that would take him to the helm of Dior. Announcing the news, he described returning to the city as “a dream come true”, adding that presenting a collection at Trinity College is both “deeply personal” and “a real honour”.

The show will also mark another milestone in Anderson’s tenure at Dior. Having become the first designer since Christian Dior himself to oversee both the House’s women’s and men’s collections, his decision to stage the collection in Ireland reflects an increasingly personal vision for the maison - it’s one that brings together fashion, craftsmanship and cultural heritage in equal measure.
