Swedish singer-songwriter, Zikai, has released the lyric video for her brand-new single Liquor Kisses through Warner Music, which paired with her soothing vocals and bold lyricism positively highlights independency and reassures us that it’s okay to put ourselves first once in a while. With a blend of R&B, soul and pop, this self-love anthem definitely is the perect vibe for when you need that extra boost of confidence.
“You ain’t gotta be the one
Cause forever ain’t for me
Do it til the sun goes down and then boy you gotta leave
Tell me when you’re ready
Not looking for someone to love”
The single was written by Zikai herself alongside Nirob Islam and London based producer and writer, Jacob Attwooll, and produced by Stockholm producer, Agrin Rahmani.
The songstress has been in the music industry from as early as the age of 15 when she signed her major deal. However, she decided to pursue and focus on song writing instead as she felt that she wasn’t ready to become an artist just yet.
This led her to co-write the new single Hearts Will Bleed for fellow Swedish artist Janice as well as the chart-topping single Number alongside Danish artist Alexander Oscar.
Now as a solo artist, Zikai has two additional previous singles entitled Beach Day and Mountain Peak. This is just the start for the 21-year-old artist who is definitely starting to make a big name for herself.
