Swatch x AP Royal Pop Makes Waves in the Watch World


The latest collaboration between Swatch and Audemars Piguet is already proving to be one of the year’s most sought-after watch launches, with early resale figures suggesting demand has quickly outpaced supply.

According to new data from StockX, the Swatch x AP Royal Pop collection generated more than 1,000 sales on the resale platform by the end of Saturday, May 16, highlighting the rapid momentum surrounding the launch.

The strongest indicator of the collection’s appeal may be the performance of the complete eight-piece set. While only a limited number of full collections have exchanged hands so far, eight purchases have already been recorded, reaching an average resale value of $9,476, representing a 192% increase over the original retail price of $3,240.

Individual pieces have also commanded significant premiums in the secondary market. Across the collection, watches are currently averaging resale prices of $1,351, reflecting a 222% increase on the original $420 retail price. Meanwhile, accompanying lanyards, which are often viewed as accessories rather than headline pieces, have reached an average resale value of $206, translating to a 357% premium over their $45 retail price.

Among the strongest performers, several colourways have quickly emerged as favourites with collectors and enthusiasts. Leading sales on the platform is the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop Savonnette Lan Ba, which has surpassed 279 sales. Close behind is the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop Ocho Negro with more than 228 sales, followed by the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop Savonnette Otg Roz, the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop Huit Blanc and the Swatch x Audemars Piguet Bioceramic Royal Pop Orenji Hachi.
