Ragz Originale Announces Debut Album Alongside His Latest Single Radio Silence

It’s been a long time coming for Ragz Originale fans, as the multi-faceted North London musician finally announces the release of his debut album Bare Sugar, which is set to be an embodiment of black excellence that sees that Ragz tapping into everything from rap to. ‘Bare Sugar’ is set to take over the summer with an impressive 14-tracklist that includes features from the likes of Sampha, Knucks, Tiana Major 9, Venna, and more.

Ragz Originale speaking on 'Bare Sugar', “with this album it was important for me to dive even deeper into myself, it's probably the most honest sound I've ever made. I had to block out all the noise, it wasn't easy but I didn't see my career elevating unless the sound did. On planet earth we call this 'Excessive Luxury Sound'. While waiting for the highly anticipated album, Ragz has blessed listeners with ‘radio silence’, a track that has his distinctive sound written all over it - a slick and smooth delivery, while accompanied by a sweet female melody and dreamy visuals that sexy but simplistic as Rgaz is seen vibing to the track alongside the video’s leading lady.

Speaking on his latest release “radio silence” Ragz says, “Where do I even begin with this song? This is probably my favourite song from the album, in fact, it is! It represents everything I stand for in sound design. Late-night drive music at its finest, I wanted to create something aliens would dance to whilst creating art! Produced by Myself, E-Whizz & Jeauneil Baptiste. There are frequency sounds moving through the song which mirrors radio signals, hence the title of the song. In this case, she was looking for me, I was looking for sound. Sometimes the radio is the closest she can get to me.”

Since debuting in 2016 Ragz Originale has done nothing but stay consistent with his music, establishing himself as a singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer, it was in 2020 that the lyricist received wider recognition after the release of his EP ‘txt ur ex’, which featured ELIZA on 4 am as well as Bellah and Sam Wise on ‘Hotel Sex’, an upwards trajectory continued with the release of 2021 hit ‘brush u’, which is one of Ragz biggest tracks to date. Since then Ragz Originale has marked his spot in the UK’s evergrowing R’n’B scene and beyond, as no genre is off limits for the musician, his talents have led to an already timeless COLORS show performance, and he has been nominated for an Ivor Novello and formed a collective with Oscar #WorldPeace & Benjji Flow where they created a world-class project and addictive sunshine anthem ‘ICED OUT SUMMER’.
