Nigerian Artist BNXN Pioneers New Afrobeats Subgenre Through Single ‘Sweet Tea (Aduke)’

The Lagos-born vocalist BNXN releases his latest single ‘Sweet Tea (Aduke)’ and announces the upcoming release of his debut album Sincerely, Benson. The new single presents soothing afro-fusion vocals over a gentle flute and unique drum beat, creating a new subgenre of its own through the artist's fiercely independent sound.

Commenting on his upcoming album release, BNXN notes ‘This is as sincere as it gets’.

Having sold out his headline show at the O2 Indigo last year, racking up an impressive 1.5 billion streams and collaborating with the likes of Dave, M Huncho, WizKid and Burna Boy, BNXN is becoming one of Nigeria’s most recognisable voices. Judging by his accolades and work with popular artists, we are sure to expect some exciting features on the upcoming album.

Alongside a list of well-loved collaborators, BNXN has completed his Bad Since 97 European tour, his growing body of work proves instantly recognisable due to his subversion of traditional African music.

BNXN’s single ‘Finesse’ made its way to the official UK charts at number 52, and was even added to Barack Obama’s playlist. Showing no signs of slowing down in his international rise, BNXN has announced a US tour across 13 different venues over the October and November months.
