LUCIIA Dazzles With The Unveiling Of New Track ‘CLEAN’

Emerging R&B artist LUCIIA proves why she is a definite one to watch. The singer that was born and raised in Sweden, and is half Cuban, first came into the spotlight after grabbing the attention of BBC Radio London and Reprezent Radio, which subsequently gave her the opportunity to feature on UK rapper, Sneakbo’s track, ‘Practice’ – accolades that have seen her audience and popularity increase substantially. LUCIIA's talents have given her the opportunity to perform in London for the first time at Notting Hill arts club for the Legend City & “Friends” event on December 3rd.

CLEAN follows on from the perfectly written and performed track ‘BRB’, featuring Shawn Butler and Joel Malka. CLEAN brilliantly depicts a vulnerable side to LUCIIA, highlighting the themes of attempting to detach herself from a toxic relationship.

“Time and time again, history is repeated where men woo women based on the terms of fuelling their own ego’s. When the woman finally develops or expresses feelings, she is often doubted and inevitably becomes ‘the problem’”.

Produced by the versatile Swedish duo S.T.Y.A & Pure, along with Luciia and jointly written by Naomi Vaughn and LUCIIA, it’s evident to hear how the instant chemistry that they all had during the process worked in their favour. The futuristic instrumentals effortlessly match the catchy lyrics that shows off LUCIIA's vocal range in a slightly trance-like way.

“The chemistry between me and Naomi was very genuine and instant."

The silky tone that LUCIIA displays will grab the attention of any listener. The chilled, yet emotional song is a good introduction to the quality she possesses and will resonate with many. The hope she has for this track is to "empower women."
