Leon Jacques Unveils Newest Track 'Parts'

Leon Jacques’ latest single “Parts” is an infectious track that manages to finely meld R&B and dancehall into one. The array of soft percussion and a light drum loop provides the perfect backdrop for Leon to fully champion ideas of sensuality and unwavering levels of freedom.

In his early and promising career Leon Jacques has already displayed his ability to seamlessly navigate between genres, with previous ballad adjacent “Wake Up” with Oli Hannaford, and gentle soft guitar led “Always” being a far cry from “Parts”, yet all still managing to maintain both a high degree of musical integrity and quality.

This track is an ode to his Caribbean heritage (he spent many of his formative years in Jamaica & Barbados), and presents an open invitation to come together on the dance floor. "I wanted to peek behind the blinds of reggae culture. This song is about the silent consent given on the dance floor to be led by the rhythm and the vibe for an encapsulating three or four minutes, and then everybody goes their separate ways, happy, unhindered and judgment free", the British artist explains.

An original member of House Gospel Choir, Leon Jacques not only helped shape their signature sound but performed at the biggest UK festivals (Glastonbury, Latitude, Southport) and alongside Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue & Culture Club. Previously heard on records from Kojey Radical, Che Lingo and Naughty Boy, he's now focusing on his solo career and already received support from major media outlets like BBC 1Xtra and Notion.
